Raffle time, shop downtown Mt. Shasta!

Canned foodsThe Siskiyou Arts Council, Gallery & Cultural Center, Sacred Mountain  Spa, Sereni-tea, The Gallery in Mount Shasta, the Mt. Shasta Community  Resource Center, Alpine Business Equipment, and the Mount Shasta Chamber  of Commerce have come together to make the experience enjoyable. Downtown merchants will be open two more Wednesday until 7pm before Christmas for your pure shopping pleasure of discovering the perfect gift for our loved one.

On December 16 you can shop at your favorite stores and enter in a raffle at each shop.

This Wednesday is the last day for “Portraits with Santa” by professional photographer Sequoia from 5:30pm until 7pm at Sacred Mountain Spa. Portraits are offered at $30 (a $50 value), includes (4) wallet size, (2) 4×6 and (1) 5×7 prints. Portraits will be available for pick up a week later.

“Giving Tree” for children in need will be housed from December 8 to December 17 at Alpine Business Equipment, Tri-Counties Bank, Village Books, The Gallery in Mount Shasta and PremierWest Bank. Sponsored by the Mount Shasta Community Resource Center.

The collection of non-perishable shelf stable food items to be donated to “Meals on Wheels”, St. Vincent de  Paul’s food bank and the Elks’ food baskets was very successful as 240Lb were collected. (photo above)

More magic to come in the next week with a window decoration contest and a snowman building contest for kids and the young at heart.
