Canyon Acupuncture is located at 6109 Rose Ave in historic Dunsmuir, CA, a place of healing, nurturing and preventative care. Where Heaven meets earth under the watchful eye of Mt. Shasta’s peak, along where the mighty Upper Sacramento River flows. This successful practice was established 5 years ago by David Filipello, L.Ac., a licensed acupuncturist by the State of California. Mr. Filipello brings his 30+ years of Traditional Chinese Medicine experience to the Siskiyou County area to serve the needs of his community.
Mr. Filipello states “I strongly feel that the medicine of the future is an integration of Alernative and Allopathic (Western medicine as we know it) modalities. My calling as a healer influences my possibility as an educator. Like the Great Tao, neither Alternative nor Allopathic medicine is better – they are only parts of the whole. Together they offer a complete and holistic healing by complementing the human body’s power to heal itself.”
Traditional Chinese Medicine, like many alternative medicines, approaches balanced health by addressing the body’s Qi, or energy, in such a way as to benefit the whole of the body – the physical, the emotional and spiritual bodies. By doing so, harmony can be attained and many illnesses can be dealt with preventatively before they can manifest.
