Recreation in and around Mt. Shasta

Horseback Riding

The Pacific Crest Trail crosses through the county in an east/west direction. Horseback riding is allowed on it, but bikes or motorized vehicles are prohibited.

Scenic trail rides, approximately 1 1/2hrs. with incredible views of Mt. Shasta and surrounding area. Full day trips also available. Pony rides and parties. Riding lessons. Just 10 miles from downtown Yreka. Horse-drawn carriage rentals for weddings and events.
